YU The Emergence of The Internet and Computers Discussion
Description
At the beginning of class discussion there will be a (inking In4ime. Students should paste a note that demonstrates some thoughtful engagement of three-four sentences, based on a keyword or concept with the readings and a discussion question based on the readings. They are active class notes! This can also be a space for you to share your doubts!
Students will be asked to post these thoughts to our class Zoom chat and to keep a record (see end of syllabus for a template).
After the lecture each week, we will open class discussion based on (inking In1uestions. At the end of class there will be a (inking Out4ime for students to consider something substantive (at least a full sentence) that they learned in class that day, to post to the Zoom Chat, and keep a record.
Keep a (inking In & Thinking Out&ile on your computer. Thus, you can keep track of how your ideas develop over the course of the semester, and upload into a single document in Week 6 (Feb 15) and Week 11 (Mar 29) for a midterm and final grade regarding this assignment. See the last page of the syllabus for a template!
Final Active Learning grades will be based on the overall collection of a studentànotes, based on the (inking In & Thinking Out)n weeks 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11.
