Start Word. Download and open the file named Student_Word_04_SR_Water_AS.docx and then save the file as Last_First_Word_04_SR_Water_AS. Display the formatting marks.

Select the subtitle Home Savings and all of the remaining text on the page. Take care to not select the blank paragraph with the Section Break (Next Page) at the end of the page. Modify the selected text so that it displays in two columns.

Insert a column break immediately to the left of the subtitle Industry Savings.

Apply the Fill: Brown, Accent color 3; Sharp Bevel text effect to the newsletter title Water Saving Tips.

Center the subtitle Home Savings and apply the Small caps effect. Create a new style based on the formatting of the subtitle Home Savings. Name the style Utility Subtitle and then apply the Utility Subtitle style to the subtitle Industry Savings.

In the left column, apply the Justify alignment to the paragraph starting A WaterSmarts consultant. In the right column, apply the Justify alignment to the paragraph starting Your business can ‘tap’ into.

Click in the document to deselect the text. Insert an online picture using the search phrase water faucet and then insert an appropriate image from the results. Select and delete the text box that displays below the image. Change the image’s Layout Option to Tight. In the Layout dialog box, if necessary deselect the Lock aspect ratio check box, and then set the image height to 1.53″ and width to 2.1″.

Use the alignment guides to center the image between the left and right margins and to align the top of the image with the paragraph that begins Fix leaky plumbing. Apply the Drop Shadow Rectangle picture style.

Add a box border to the paragraph beginning For your free energy audit. Change the paragraph’s fill color to Brown, Text 2, Lighter 80%. Center align the text.

In the beginning of the document, insert a SmartArt graphic using the Step Up Process layout from the Process category. Apply the Position in Bottom Center with Square Text Wrapping alignment option. Change the height of the SmartArt to 2″ and the width to 4″.

Apply the SmartArt color Gradient Range – Accent 3. Apply the SmartArt style Intense Effect to the graphic. Add the following text to the SmartArt shapes moving in this order from left to right and adding the fourth shape:
Refuse | Reuse | Reduce | Recycle
Save, but do not close, the document.

Create a new blank Word document. In the new blank Word document, start a Labels mail merge document. Select Avery US Letter labels, product number 5160. For the recipients, use the addresses in the downloaded file Word_04_SR_Addresses.xlsx. Edit the recipients to print in ascending order by last name. In the first label, insert an address block using the default settings, and then update the labels.
Finish the mail merge process by merging to a new document. In the merged labels document that opens, select and copy the entire table containing the mailing labels.
