Overview: 

The overall purpose of this assignment is for you to demonstrate your growing knowledge of geomorphology while also practicing valuable research and scientific communication skills. Based on the course learning outcomes, this assignment provides an opportunity for you to:

Identify and describe the main characteristics of common landforms and landscapes.

Apply standard analysis techniques for investigating earth surface features and geomorphological data.

• Communicate data analyses, interpretations, and synthesized literature in written formats, including laboratory assignments.

The goal of this assignment is to introduce or strengthen the following skills:

• Practice applying standard analysis in fluvial and glacial geomorphology including stream ordering, calculating boundary shear stress, and calculating mass balances.

Practice identifying and describing geomorphic landforms, including those associated with drainage basins and glaciers.

• Develop your writing and communication skills by presenting your findings in a written form
