Literature Review/p>

A literature review is a summary of the theory, information, and findings relevant to a particular topic or research endeavor.  Literature reviews provide a synthetic analysis of ideas that have come before your research and locate your study within the broader conversation of a topic area or discipline.  Oftentimes, literature reviews are a starting point for thinking about a topic. 

               This assignment asks that you transform your annotated bibliography into a literature review.  Using the stylistic and formatting requirements in your textbook and lecture, you should develop an essay that discusses the relevant debates, core ideas and findings, theories, and seminal works on your topic.  Literature reviews should be well organized and include an introduction and a conclusion.  You should use headings and subheadings to organize the main topics found in your review.
