University of Maryland Washington Studio Package Paper

Instructions: this is a proposal paper for one of my projects that I will be doing. This whole project is related to gull species thats all. So please make sure you don talk about any other animal or birds or humans. I have attached the instructions that were used to write the proposal. It will give you an idea that how I wrote my proposal. I have already written the proposal. However, I need to revise my proposal because I had some mistakes. I will also share the professoràfeedback on my paper. So you can see that what he wants me to fix in my paper. So basically you are not writing a new paper, you are just revising my proposal. Please make sure you do your best and don use any outside resources. I have cited 3 scientific articles related to gull species in my proposal. So make sure to read those articles to get a better understanding. Also if you can find 2 more scientific articles related to gull species that would be great. Because in the feedback my professor said that I need more references.

my hypothesis for this project is: Gull species trends have declined in the past decade across all species.

My whole project is based on this hypothesis. Please make sure you follow the rules and work accordingly. I have had a very bad experience few weeks ago with a tutor. It was related to this class and he basically used very unrelated words and information on my paper. He spoke about humans and cats in my paper when it was supposed to be only birds. And because of it I got in a big trouble. So, please please don use any outside resources. This whole class is only about birds and this project is related to gull species. So please don talk about other species. If you do good in this paper. I will also work with you for my final project for this class related to this project. So please do your best and don fail me. Also, I will send you the methods that I will be using for the project. However, you have to completely reword the methods. Don use paraphrasing tool to reword it cuz my professor will know. Do it on your own and do your best. Make sure to completely reword the methods.

Methods: (To obtain the 10 Gull species that we plan to study, we will use a random number generator to select 10 of the 28 total species represented on Bird. For each of these species, we will download abundance and distribution data from the year 1980 and the year 2020 into Rstudio. These data are available for free download through the Bird app, and we have received permission to utilize these data for our project. Using the studio package “auk,” also available through Bird, we will use a 2-sample t-test with alpha value 0.05 to compare the mean population distributions and mean Gull abundances for each of the 10 species between the two years. The p-value that we receive from these tests will determine whether there has been a significant decline in these parameters within the 40-year time span.

We will assume that our 10 randomly selected species provide an unbiased representation of the 28 total Gull species in the family Laridae. This means that, while our population analysis will be confined to the 10 Gull species that we have studied, the subsequent discussion of this data and the management recommendations that result from it will functionally apply to all Gull species.)
