This discussion forum is designed for you to post your interpretations of the film Winter’s Bone. You don’t have to like this film (or any of the films we view), but you do need to find constructive ways to talk about it.

Original Post

You are asked to write two-paragraph original post about the film.

For the narrative post you do not need to write a summary of the entire film. Assume your peers know the film and instead talk about specific aspects of the story, perhaps considering how it engages with our course theme of cultures of poverty.

For the film technique paragraph, you are expected to use the film terminology you learned in the last module to describe and analyze specific aspects of filmmaking that stood out to you in the film. Again, use specific, concrete examples, referring to specific shots/scenes whenever possible. Each paragraph should be 100-150 words long.
