What are the systems, institutions, policies and informal practices that render Blacks second-class citizens? How have African Americans collectively fought and challenged these practices? What can we learn from the specific social organizations and leaders(political, artistic, scholars) of the Black community who have made great efforts to create a village and offer different visions and tactics to improve the lives of Black people?
