• Write a script for a film exploring a form of trauma you are interested in exploring. It can be live action, animation, puppets, or any other form you want it to take. It can have dialogue or just concepts, but you must have a plan—therefore a 3 page script or notes will be required with he final project.
• Length: 3-5 page script turned in with final project. (film must be under 5 minutes)

Trauma is an emotional response to a terrible event like an accident, rape or natural disaster. Immediately after the event, shock and denial are typical. Longer term reactions include unpredictable emotions, flashbacks, strained relationships and even physical symptoms like headaches or nausea.

There are three main types of trauma are acute, chronic, or complex.

• Acute trauma results from a single incident.
• Chronic trauma is repeated and prolonged such as domestic violence or abuse.
• Complex trauma is exposure to varied and multiple traumatic events, often of an invasive, interpersonal nature.
