Universal Design of Learning Adaptation Plan

Description

Background
We understand that not all activities and/or lesson plans are Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) for all children. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is an excellent tool to help make lesson DAP. You will have the opportunity to look through the lens of UDL for this assessment.

Directions

Videos: Watch the following three videos located here.

Video 1 nfant Video: Ball and Jug (3 minutes, 41 seconds)

  1. Video 2 oddler Video: Sand container Conflict (2 minutes, 28 seconds)

Video 3 reschool Video: Sick Baby (5 minutes, 35 seconds)

Reflect:

As you watch the videos a second time, look at them through the lens of UDL.

Then, for each of the videos write a reflection about how you would create adaptations in the form of content, process, product, and environment to make sure each of the activities are DAP for all children.

Also, for each of the videos, explain why you selected each adaptation and how the adaptation will create DAP activities for all children.
