UM Collaboration and Community Partners Paper
Description
Collaboration is important between nonprofits and community organizations. Therefore, it is important to highlight organizations that you will work with in the ïllaboration and Community Partnerssection of the paper. Many grant applications will ask you to describe your relationship with community partners, partner, or projects that you will work on together, so making a list of who you will work closely with in this section is important. (1 page)
Grant money is competitive, so it is important that you are able to communicate why your program is important and why it is your organization that needs to provide these services.
In the ïmmunity Needs/Resourcessection you will highlight the types of program/ services that you will offer to your community as well as explain if there is a gap if other organizations offer similar services (but there is still a need). If you are duplicating services, this is your chance to why you can provide the services in a better or more thoughtful way. (2 pages)
The grantors will want information on who your nonprofit will serve, and you have the chance to do so in the ïnstituents, Consumers, and Clients- Who Does this Nonprofit serve?/strong> section.
Describe who your program will benefit and be sure to provide supporting demographic information. You might want to make note about how you are going to involve this community in the decision making/program process in order to make sure that their voice is heard and the program is going to be a good fit once it is launched (surveys, advisory boards, etc.)
