UCF Spectrophotometric Matter & Electromagnetic Radiation Interactions Discussion
Question Description
I just want you paraphrase my paragraphs. It will not take a time.
Please paraphrase this introduction:
Introduction:
Spectrophotometric analysis is an important tool that helps in identifying the interaction of
matters and with electromagnetic radiation. This helps in measuring the visible portion of light
of the electromagnetic spectrum i.e. from 400-800 nm. This is used in food dyes at variable
concentrations and that can be used to determine the unknown concentration of the same food
dye.
The visible spectrum is a portion of the EM waves that are visible and are easily accessible to the
human eye. Visible light is the light that comes in this range. Their wavelength varies from 380 to
740 nm. The visible spectrum also contains colors, and the above range shows color.
The concept of UV vis spectroscopy is defined as the absorption in part of UV and the full. It is
defined as the light is used in the visible range and adjacent ranges. In this range, atoms and
molecules undergo electronic transitions.
Similarly, calibration is done, and the calibration curve is a graph that shows how the instrument
works and responds. Similarly, the analytical signal changes with the change in concentration. A
calibration plot is used to interpolate to find the concentration of the analyte.
Beers law is used in this process. Beers law is an equation which states that the concentration
of the chemical solution is directly related to the absorption of light. This law is used to calculate
the concentration and details about the food dye test.
Please paraphrase this Procedure:
Procedure:
The procedure for the experiment is as follows:
1) Use the sample provided and record its color and an unknown number of the food dye in
the data section
2) Use a specific amount of od stock dye solution. The stock dye should have the same color
as our sample.
3) Use beakers and start adding a specified amount of stock dye solution and distilled water.
After adding users, a wash bottle to add the specified amount of volume of distilled water
to the solution.
4) Turn on the spectrophotometry machine. Allow it to warm for 5 minutes.
5) Calibrate the instrument and make it zero.
6) Measure the absorbance of the sample in order of increasing concentration.
7) After measuring the absorbance rinse the cuvette.
8) Construct the plot of the calibration curve by plotting the absorbance vs concentration of
the six standard solutions using a sigma plot.
Please paraphrase this Discussion:
Discussion:
After the brief calculation on excel, we solved all the details and calculations by terms of separate
means. Here first we calculated the value of V1 using equation M1V1=M2V2. From this, all the
values of V1 were calculated. Similarly, in the second portion, we draw the graph of concentration
vs absorption of red dye #40. This helps in giving the equation of the graph and the value of R
square. The component in our equation was the slope equation component which means that
the values of x or y can be calculated at any point on the slope line. Our R square value was
0.9538. this means that this is the statical measure that helps in the representation of the
proportion of the variance for a dependent variable that helps in explaining by an independent
variable or variables in a regression model. The potential error that can happen is because of the
random errors in calculation or other variable factors that should be kept in mind while
identifying the errors. Similarly, environmental factors should also be kept in mind for that.
repeating this experiment will require no further change however we can make sure that errors
should be minimum.
Please paraphrase this Conclusion:
Conclusion:
To conclude this report, we have done all the calculations on the excel sheet. In this way, our
work was made easy and more accuracy was achieved while measuring the values and plotting
the graph for that purpose. Similarly, the calculation was performed with the equation of Beer
that helps in finding the volume and helped in constructing the graph and other variable
calculation. Our graph and equation were obtained in such a way that the value of the slope
equation was used to calculate the first value as it was far from the trendline and later we find
all the details of R square formulation,.
