1. Start this paper with paper 2. Make any changes suggested in the feedback from paper 2 to improve this part of the paper. This part does NOT count toward the 2 page limit.

Then, in no more than 2 pages total do the following 3 things:

1. briefly discuss how the outcomes and/or available options described in the first section of paper two (or a new situation if suggested in paper 2 grading) might have been different if you occupied a different social position, or expand on this if you touched on it in paper 2, backing up your ideas with citations from lecture, text and canvas readings on social control and stratification and inequality;
2. then discuss how one of the 3 theoretical perspectives (structural functionalism, conflict/critical theory, symbolic interactionism) would explain your outcome-what would they focus on, what concepts would be most central to their explanation? Make sure you cite text and lecture when using the concepts of these perspectives;
3. finally, conclude with any thoughts about how any insights from this reflection process might affect how you think, speak, and act regarding choice as a resource distributed unequally in US society through structural influences (policies, laws, technologies, language, privilege, etc) and how this impacts other important outcomes (ability to go to school, get a job, get married, be healthy, etc) that can be seen in conditions of inequality (longevity, incarceration rates, income, education, wealth, etc).

Please utilize at least one new lecture reference, one text reference and 1 Canvas reading in addition to previously used material in earlier papers for this final paper. We are expecting about 1/2 page for each of the prompts to guide how much is needed to answer each.
