Cultural Analysis. Conduct a racial analysis of a movie or TV show. Your analysis should talk about the racial implications of the show. How is race portrayed (or ignored) in this media? Your essay should have a clear thesis statement. A thesis statement is a clear articulation of the overall argument of the paper. For example, “This paper suggests that the TV show Love is Blind upholds notions of colorblind racism and reproduces racialized dating patterns.” In your essay you should uses 5 course readings to support your thesis. You can bring in terms such as colorblindness, whiteness, structural racism, etc. Make sure they have the appropriate citation.
