The Transtheoretical Model of Change (TTM) grew out of the analysis and use of different psychotherapeutic theories (hence, 2anstheoreticaln TTM is based on an understanding of how ready an individual is to decide to make a health behavior change and the factors that influence the behavior change. At each of the five stages, different interventions are required to motivate the person to move forward/ change the decisional balance in favor of the 2os/f change rather than the ïns./p>
In this Discussion, you will apply theoretical constructs to a public health issue, analyzing the strengths and limitations of theory, specifically TTM, then engage in peer feedback to discuss the application of theoretical constructs to a variety of public health issues.
