Synthesize/Apply/Reflect

The introduction to our text states, “understanding why individuals behave the way they do and how behavior may be taught, changed or modified is the primary concern of this text.” (Zirpoli, 3) It also is the primary concern of this course.

As we moved through the course, we have discussed many different programs and strategies for dealing with student behavior. Take a few minutes to reflect on what you have learned. What are at least 3 ideas, strategies or programs you have learned or relearned that you would use in your own classroom? Describe each in detail and why you chose it. Also include when and how you would use the strategy, program or idea. Include whether it would be used with individual students, the entire class or both.

Assignment Guidelines

Your assignment must include:

• Three different ideas, strategies or programs from our course that you will utilize in your classroom.
• For each you must include:
  • A detailed description of the idea, strategy or program
  • Why you chose it
  • When and how you will use it
  • If it will be used with individuals, class, or both
