I got summoned for examination malpractice, which wasn’t true. The school summoned me after going through my examination video and requested I write this essay. 

An administrative meeting was held on March 27, 2023 concerning allegations set forth in a summons letter

indicating a potential violation of the UT Arlington Student Conduct and Discipline Policy. During this meeting

the following findings were made:

1. HOP 2.a.i. Cheating — Responsible

You are officially warned that your behavior violated a University policy or Regents Rules and this is official

disciplinary action. Future violations will result in more serious disciplinary action.

By being found responsible for the violation, the faculty member of record for this course, NURS 3366-602 SP23,

holds the authority to assess the grade penalty. To dispute the grade penalty, you must follow the grade grievance

process for the specific college/school/department that the violation occurred within. A student cannot exercise

the grade exclusion policy or grade forgiveness policy for a grade received in a course in which that student was

found responsible for an academic integrity violation. In response to this finding, the following grade penalty was

imposed, reduced credit.

You are required to complete a reflective paper to expand your understanding and/or learning from this incident.

i already explained my self to the prof that i didn’t cheat but she insist summiting my name to the panel so disciplinary actions can be taken

here was my initial response  I apologize for not covering my tv. Hence, the tv was not facing where I was sitting, and it wasn’t on but instead turned off.I never saw where the exam policy said I couldn’t wear a smartwatch until my Prof. pointed it out, but caution is noted. During my pre-exam process, you stated I had my phone on; yes, I had some technical issues with the lockdown browser to no avail, and I tried contacting the technical crew before the exam commenced. I never saw the reason to put my phone away since the exam had yet to start, and it was only moving me forward when my lockdown browser started behaving again. I urgently got up because my kids were messing with the gas cooker. The loud noise of my gas cooker took my attention for a second; I apologize for all of this. Assuming 5%  off my already downgraded GP will not add any good, but if that is what will be implemented, that is also fine. Thanks for reaching out and, hoping to hear from you.
