For this Stat Crunch assignment, you will collect some data, then use stat Crunch to perform linear regression.

Here’s the data.  Number a paper from 1 to 11.  Guess the person and their age.

Now, go to the Stat Crunch web site and get the actual ages.  In the Data file, click Data Sets, then search ActualAges  (no space).  You should see the data set with chewett as owner.  Open it, in the first empty column, rename as Guess.  Enter your guesses.

Now you will perform simple linear regression the the data.

Stat… Regression…Simple Linear

Choose X variable to be your Guess

Choose y variable to be Actual Age

Scroll down to the Graph box and click Fitted line plot.

Compute!

Copy/paste Simple Linear regression results up to the R value.

Copy/paste the scatter plot.

Identify the trend of your regression.

Identify the strength of your regression.
