In-Class Team Assignment #3 for MAR4400
Team Assignment ocial Styles Discussion
The purpose of a panel discussion is to provide an opportunity for an audience (class) to hear from
several people knowledgeable about a specific issue or topic (your team). The panel members
present information and discuss personal views on the topic. A panel discussion may help the
audience further clarify and evaluate their positions regarding specific issues or topics being
discussed and increase their understanding of the positions of others. The objective of this panel
discussion is to make sure that the class walks away understanding the characteristics of the four
social styles and more importantly, the actions needed to flex to each social style.
Your topic is the Social Style communication or behavioral model. Be sure to use the model
provided by Professor Soltero (separate document). Each team member must take the assessment
and be sure you understand the model. Once each of you has taken the assessment individually you
will get together and discuss the following questions:
Individual:
o you agree with your assessment of your primary social style? Why or why not? How
about your results on your secondary style?
dentify the strengths and weaknesses of each social style?
dentify the social styles that you enjoy working with the most? Why?
hat behaviors does each social style exhibit in stressful situations?
hat are the implications for salespeople?

1) Individual Assessment Plotted in the Dominance Scale with your names
2) Answers to all the questions as an individual and as a Team
Class Presentation by Team!
For next class
1) Prof. Soltero will moderate the discussion.
2) Each Team will make a short 5-minute presentation of their findings.
3) Make sure you bring a hardcopy of the chart (next page) for the Team.
