More than a few horror writers have pointed out that horror movies ultimately aren’t about monsters or the monstrous. They’re about how people survive monsters and the monstrous and what they become or don’t become in the process.

Given that you all have dealt with a lot of monstrous things in your lives in the last couple of years, I thought it might be nice to shift focus for this post to how people cope with trying or monstrous circumstances. Let’s do that.

Here is your post assignment.

1*Read pages 7->23 of The Path, which is posted under “Content” on D2L.

2*Identify the key concepts that are explored in pages seven to twenty-three (hint–subheadings always give this kind of stuff away)

3*Try to put one or more of these concepts into practice for a day.

4*After you’re done doing the above, simply write a post here in which you explain the concept you experimented with putting into practice.
