When big shopping stores come into small towns, they often drive small business owners out of business. What role does business and commerce play in social justice? We read chapter 1 of Karl Marx’s The Communist Manifesto this week, alongside William Wordsworth’s poem, “The World is Too Much With Us.” After reading both, decide if you think the world is too much with us and how that might contribute to issues of social justice. As usual, be sure to cite specific evidence from the readings and resources to help support your main ideas in your post and on a Works Cited page at the end.
