IT 405 SEU Server Side and Client Side Scripting Languages Discussion & Responses
Description
Discussion question:
In your opinion and own words, as a web designer, you should focus more on server-side scripting languages or on client-side scripting languages?
Responses to this comment:
1- Scripts can be written in two forms, at the server end (back end) or at the client end (server end). The main difference between server-side scripting and client-side scripting is that server-side scripting involves the server for its processing. On the other hand, client-side scripts require browsers to run scripts on the client machine but not interact with the server while the client-side scripts are being processed.
In my view scripting should be done on the client side to generate code that can run on the client (browser) end without server side processing. Essentially, these types of scripts are placed inside an HTML document. Client-side scripting can be used to check the user’s form for errors before it is submitted and to change the content according to user input. As I mentioned before, the web requires three elements for its functioning which are, client, database and server
