From my point of view, music in contemporary times has influenced fashion from two perspectives: one positive and one negative. Starting with the positive, it must be taken into account that since music became commercial and began to penetrate crowds of different social classes, it has served as a mechanism for uniting thoughts. In general, throughout history, music has been a good mechanism to transmit messages of some kind, whether social, political, sexual orientation, freedom or rebellion against power and the system in general. And historically it is well known that the crowds tend to be against the system, the power, the government, in this case following the artist who becomes a kind of leader to follow. And this artist is followed from every point of view, from the way he dresses, the way he acts, his personality, the way he speaks. All these elements can be translated into one word: culture. Therefore, today and always, music has served to influence and develop the culture of a country, which of course includes a certain parameter of clothing that represents and characterizes a genre, a movement. Now, from the negative point of view, especially today, many artists and their work teams have realized that there is a well-paid business through the clothes they use in their videos or at their concerts. Knowing that they are an influencer and that people want to be like them, many artists have created their own clothing lines with prices that can be exorbitant for a common citizen or fan. And beyond wanting to create culture, many do it for a simple business.
