2. Detail the ideological differences between liberalism and conservatism. How and why did modern conservatism become the dominant political philosophy after decades of liberal presidents? Give specific examples.
3. Why was the 1970s a “decade of disillusion” and how did it provide numerous turning points in American history? Consider the events of the decade and the effect they had on American politics and society going forward.
