Annotated Bibliography Template
Creating an annotated bibliography calls for the application of a variety of critical thinking skills:
research, analysis, and concise exposition.
Step 1
Locate scholarly articles that contain useful information and ideas regarding your field of study,
teaching dispositions, or education in general. Choose resources that provide a variety of
perspectives on your topic. For help on library research and reference formatting, refer to the
NV-108 Library Guide(https://libguides.gcu.edu/UNV-108)
Step 2
Cite the scholarly articles using APA Style. Refer to the Student Success Center for more
information.
Step 3
In 50-100 words for each reference, write a concise annotation that summarizes the ideas and
perspectives within the resource. Be sure to include an in-text citation in your summary. Use the
abstract and the article conclusion to guide your summary.
