In this assignment, you will research the processes and requirements of sports medicine teams to provide medical clearance or medical disqualification for student-athletes. You will explore two sets of student-athletes that are facing medical clearance/disqualification, population one is student-athletes that are new to a university, first-year or transfer students and population two is an active student-athlete that is experiencing illness or injury.You are to use the research you conducted around the processes and requirements of sports medicine teams to provide medical clearance or medical disqualification of student-athletes to outline the steps taken by the university/college sports medicine programs in the scenarios below. You are to select an ending and address the items listed in accordance with the selected ending.
Scenario 1
Jamel Baxter is entering his first year as a football player for the Titans at Train College. Prior to starting any workouts, practice, team meetings, or competition, Jamel must be medically cleared to participate. He is a bit anxious to undergo his medical exam due to knee pain that started at the end of his senior season.

She routinely, once a month, sees a psychologist. During Tessaàthird year at Wave University, Tessa left the track team after only 2 meets. Tessa stopped running because her depression made her unable to focus in class and negatively impacted her athletics performance. Upon leaving the track team, Tessa scheduled an immediate appointment with her psychologist. Tessaàpsychologist determined that she needed more focused treatment and scheduled weekly appointments. The psychologist noted her depression affected her physical and academic functioning. The psychologist change Tessaàmedication.
