STEP ONE: Choose Course Concepts

  1. Review the Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) for EDUC 1300:
    1. Students will explore, identify, and apply psychological theories of learning, cognition, and motivation.
    2. Students will identify and apply effective learning strategies.
    3. Students will evaluate and implement academic and interpersonal skills needed to achieve college, career, and personal goals.
  1. Choose at least one major concept from the course you have learned that you feel has helped you master eachof the three learning outcomes (goals). Explain how these concepts have helped you meet the outcome. You will choose at least three different concepts in total (at least one per learning outcome). You must choose three different concepts.
    1. Provide an explanation/definition of the concepts/theories.
    2. Demonstrate/explain/show how your chosen topic helped you reach the outcome.
    3. Example: For the learning outcome students will explore, identify, and apply psychological theories of learning, cognition, and motivation, you might choose Grit and a Growth Mindset and explain how these have changed your learning goals, how you study, etc.

STEP TWO: Introduction, Mission Statement, and Goals

  1. Begin your project with an introduction. Include your name, our class, and a creative title.

Begin your paragraph with an explanation/definition of your chosen concept (Minimum 100 words). Demonstrate/explain how this chosen concept helped you master this learning goal.

Paragraph Five: Academic Goals and Career Goals
