pree Sharma The average American household has more possessions than any other society in history. Many spaces, such as garages and corners of home offices, bedrooms, or even the kitchen and top of the dining table, exhibit hyper consumption. Despite having 3.1% of the world’s children, the United States consumes 40% of the world’s toys. The living room contained children’s toys and objects, according to the study. They were in spare bedrooms, the kitchen, and even the master bedroom at times. In addition to refrigerators and freezers in the kitchen, which are stocked with convenience foods. Why do Americans buy two fridges? What is our society saying about food? Children in dual-income families face scheduling challenges that single adults do not. Fewer but larger shopping trips due to time constraints. People have been filling their spaces with items that aren’t necessarily used frequently. So what can be concluded from the video ? They find value and comfort in having as much stuff as possible in the world of economics, we call it ïnsumption So, what can be drawn from the video? In the United States, the middle class is frequently on the verge of poverty. Apart from all the other factors, I believe that knowing that resources are limited makes people fearful of getting rid of things in case they need them someday. And it appears to me that there is a deep solitude that people are attempting to fill by shopping and filling their spaces with clutter, similar to how people gorge themselves in order to sate an emotional appetite. When it comes to food, I’ve noticed that food hoarding is an issue when people grow up with food insecurity at home, so stocking up the pantry with food makes some people feel comfortable and secure. Finally, we can deduce that having a secure job, plenty of food stock, a home, car, and forms of technology, i.e. filling your home with an abundance of valuables, means having a good quality of life. People’s comfort and feeling of secureness are reflected in their cluttered lives.
