In the context of Always On era, networks give both public and private companies access to almost anything, anytime, anywhere. Unfortunately, they give the same access to hackers, and other cyber criminals. This creates challenges to secure data transmissions in wireless networks. The structure of this research paper is as follows: First, the authors introduce several threats related to wireless data transmissions. Second, a survey of the most popular Wi-Fi Protected Access technologies used to secure wireless networks such as WEP, WPA, WPA2, and WPA3. Finally, the researchers will discuss why you also need to consider physical security of your network.
