James Marcia expanded on Erikson’s description of the conflicts encountered at the identity versus
identity confusion stage. I have posted some video clips to help you understand the various statuses.
This week I would like us to discuss his theory – do you think it has merit or not? Can you see yourself in
one or more stages (looking at your past and present)?

moving from adolescence to emerging adulthood? How do you know when you are an adult?
