There are certain factors that could seriously impact the tone at the top of the company. As noted by Dr. Anna Remiová. (2019), it is to be noted that there is an indispensable connection between the fraud and the tone at the top because it is what transforms the company in general because when the executive leadership of the company which is usually the case where they are at the top of the echelon set the standards for the managers and the employees of the organization. It is necessary that when teh tone at teh top is set in a manner where the ethical principles are inculcated in the company’s mission statement which would trickle down to the last employee of teh company. It is a classic case as pointed out by Dr. Hill, C. (2019), in most cases of the fraud it is the tone of top that creates the standards for the decision making the process of a company as the employees of teh company look forward to the top-level leaders at the company for taking critical decisions at the company and when the tone set at the top is positive and the ethical values set at the top form teh basis to set the tone of the company, it is to be noted that when the company executives start pressurizing the employees of the company to meet unrealistic goals, which is when the employees tend to look sideways and when there is no proper oversight on how the goals are achieved, that forms the basis for the employees to look at unethical ways to attain the goals.

RESPOND 2:
The business tone is an important factor in an organization to ensure the system, i.e., the framework subjected to ethical culture and morale of employee behavior, and the revenue of the company. Tone at the top represents the attitude of the management, i.e., the culture and ambiance of the workplace created by upper management (Iwasaki, 2020). Some of the few factors affecting the tone of the top management of an organization include nature and the extent of incorrect operations. Incorrect operations would sometimes be dismissing minor violations by the top management, regarding them as less important, which would reflect an obstruction in the work culture of the organization that would eventually increase the risk of involving serious violations (Bestley, 2019).
Industrial ethical practices laid out in an organization play an important role in setting up an ethical and moral ambiance (Friedman et al., 2017). Most of the employees in an organization follow ethical practices as a normal practice. It is also usual to practice nonethical practices as standard practices. To some level ethical standards are also defined by society as well. For example, earlies days, it was normal to release and flush out industrial wastes directly into rivers, and there were no restrictions or protocols against such unethical practices to protect the nature (Lamberton et al., 2005). Yet, today, the same action is being criticized and serious measures are being taken against those organizations.
Strong tone at the top should recognize and reward ethical practices, however, they should readily condemn unethical activities as well. It is important to reward the employees who uphold the values and ethical culture of the organization as this will promote and motivate the other employees and helps in eradicating the unethical behavior in the organization. Organizations should encourage whistleblowing so that they can recognize unethical activities in the organization, and this will motivate employees to come out of fear and report illegitimate activities in the organizations (Kroll, 2018).
