For some a flexible workplace could be working from home to be able to tend to family, children, pets, etc. For others a flexible workplace could mean opportunities for growth, networking, without a micromanaging supervisor standing over their shoulder. While there are great benefits to a traditional in-person workplace like having support, creating friendships with colleagues, and having a separate work-life home-life balance, we are undoubtedly in the digital age. Who knows? This could potentially be the new 2aditional workplace. ruth is, people lead different lives and having the option to be able to work remote could prove beneficial to the people who need it most. For me, working in person is my first choice. I like being in a professional social setting. It allows me to be more productive and given the career that I¥ chosen, networking is crucial. Although, what is best for me isn best for everyone. Whether someone chooses to work remote, in-person, or both, the job of choice is entirely unique to the individual.

I like the idea of an online workplace because I’m not physically stuck going to a place to do my work. While the idea sounds nice, it doesn’t necessarily mean it is nice. I believe there are pros and cons of an online workplace. The first pro of working online is the flexibility one has with their schedule and when one chooses to do their work, the second pro is the ability to focus more in the comfort of one’s choice, the third pro and it is exactly what I mentioned in my first sentence which is not having to go to a place to do one’s work. While that is nice it’s also not so nice. When working from home or any other chosen place, and when working online, things can be quite different because when you are home or elsewhere, the only motivator is yourself because there is no one to teach you and you have to learn on your own at your own pace. When one is alone, one may take lots of breaks or maybe work too hard and burn out. Though, I do support the idea of an online workplace despite the cons.
