Objective: Explain hospital payer systems.

Instructions

Most developed countries operate with a single-payer healthcare system. In the United States, it is a multisystem. Compare and contrast the United States healthcare multisystem with a country that uses a single-payer system.

You must get approval for your country choice from your instructor. Submit your choice to the Student Lounge in the discussion board. Do not use a country that has already been chosen.

Address the following in your paper:

• Explain the overall differences between a single-payer system and the system used in the United States.
• Identify the different types of payer systems in the United States.
• Compare and contrast the systems in the United States and the country you chose.
• Analyze the benefits and drawbacks of the various qualities between each country.
• Draw conclusions.
