Week 8 Assignment: Problem Solving Paper

Objective: Apply the steps of problem solving.

Instructions

Example Problem Situations:

• The hospital is close to a military base, but it currently does not accept Tricare insurance.
• The nursing home is not Medicare or Medicaid certified.
• The assisted living facility is private pay only and has to turn away patients with insurance and/or Medicare.

Choose one of the problems above and address it using the steps of problem solving discussed in your text.

Include the following in your paper:

• An introduction describing and explaining your problem (why is it a problem?)
• The completed chart below
• An analysis of how well the problem solving steps work to address your problem
• A conclusion addressing the question: Using this technique and your application of it, how quickly and effectively can this problem be solved?

Create a one- to two-page paper in APA Style, including a title page and a reference list. You must cite and reference at least one scholarly source. You may use your textbook as a source.
