To research the topic you can go to any scientific database You can also do a Google (google.com) search, or better yet, use Google scholar (scholar.google.com). Both Google Scholar and PubMed (government database of all biological and medical articles) are great ways to search online to find relevant web sites, scientific journal articles and abstracts. PubMed can be found at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi.
There are two types of citations – text citations and reference citations – and your drafts and the paper must include both text and reference citations. The first type of citation is the text citation, which is found throughout the body (main text) of your paper, anytime you use information/ quotes or words from another source. Use numbers in parentheses – (1), (2), etc., – for your text citations. Text citations should correspond to numbered references in the reference/bibliography/sources cited section at the end of your paper. Text citations should follow directly after the information that came from that source.
The second type of citation is the reference citation. The text citations throughout the text of your paper is referring to the reference citations listed (in numerical order) on your References page. The reference citations contain all the relevant information about the source/reference (book, article, website, etc). Reference citations are included in the reference or bibliography section on the final page
