The playground is a place where families enjoy times of fun and relaxation. However, one may never consider the actual planning, design, or management required to maintain safe and fun playgrounds.

• Outline the design, age appropriate and proper surfacing considerations of a playground.
• Furthermore, address how these considerations are relevant in maintaining and managing a safe and secure playground.
