2 part assignment topic As you go through your day, pick out items that strike you as “out of place” within their current context. Things that don’t make sense. For instance, as I was taking my daughter to school this morning, she saw a small sign on a power pole that said “Quiet Please.” Neither of us could figure out why the sign was placed at the intersection we were parked at. It seemed out of place to us. Go out and see why you can find that seems out of place. 

Then Look for images that have some order to them, accidental or otherwise. For instance, you might find a set of images on a billboard or maybe the front window of a building that seem to “belong together” or work together to create another design. Look for these instances of order and write about them in your observation journal.
