But I believe Strype could be a good option if someone wants to customize. Someone may need only payment processing, others would want payment+ billing and so on. PayPal: If Evan is having everything like website and contents other than payment processing, Paypal would be good way to accept payment. As he has his website, training contents, and delivery method, what he only lacks of would be only payment processing. If he determines to receive his payment by Visa/Master card (like many small merchants do), he only needs to pay 2.59% fee for credit card processing. If he needs additional features in case his online business grows, then he can choose more comprehensive solutions like Stripe or Shopify.Discussion 2: Square:Square provides powerful service and thorough features with no monthly fees. It is ideal for low-volume merchants. It can be easy to set up and to use. With Square Payments, merchants typically pay a flat rate of 2.6% + $0.10 for swiped/dipped/tapped transactions, 3.5% + $0.15 for keyed transactions, and 2.9% + $0.30 for online transactions. There’s no monthly fee, statement fees, or monthly minimums. Square Online Checkout can be used to sell an item, collect a donation, or offer a subscription. Payment links can be sent via email, SMS text message. A payment button can be set on websites. It is the best choice for small brick-and-mortar businesses since it also provides affordable card readers.Stripe:Stripe is good for advanced website developers with more advanced functions. It provides more advanced tools like reporting and marketing tools. It can also take international transactions. The charge is 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction with no monthly fee, no monthly minimum, and no PCI compliance fee.Shopify:Shopify provides good templates for bigger e-commerce with a higher volume of sales. The monthly fee for the very basic play is $9. Charges for online transaction is 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction. Higher level plans have lower charges with more functions but higher monthly fees. But there is no termination fee, and accept international payments as well.Evan wants to sell computer programming courses. He has the experience and skills to be an advanced developer. I think Stripe is the best option with lower cost and more functions. With the computer skills he has, the advanced functions of Stripe can be better used and a big help to his own business.
