The elements I think of for an effective argument is what is my claim or the point I am trying to convey to my audience or the person I am trying to make my point too. What reason do I have to make my point or claim that I am trying to make. What assumptions or evidence do I have and need to convey to the audience that supports the point I am trying to argue. I believe you need all these elements to convince someone with another point of view to at least understand why you think or believe the way you do.

The writing style I believe would be the most helpful to create an effective argument would be the use of persuasive writing. This writing style is styled to help you get your point across to the audience and to convince the audience of your viewpoint. When you state your evidence in persuasive writing it helps you audience see your point of view and essentially back up what you are saying the use of evidence in your argument helps make your point more convincing
