For this assignment, you will choose between 1 of 3 options: victims of crime served by a local police department OR law enforcement needs when serving victims OR youth engaging with a local community sports center. The assignment includes 2 parts:

Part 1: Review the materials provided on building high-impact surveys. Second, locate and review at least 2 surveys (from a scholarly source, federal or state agency, or research institute) that collect information from victims of crime or law enforcement agencies or the impact on juvenile delinquency for youth engaging with community centers/sports. Provide those citations at the top of your survey. 

Part 2: Develop a survey of 10 questions (mixed methods: closed and open-ended questions) that could be provided to victims who received services at a local police department, police officers who respond to victims within a local department, or to youth engagement with a community sports center. 

The top 3 surveys from each category will be provided to a community partner who will utilize the surveys with clients and/or in the development of their own survey. 9 students will have an opportunity to meet with the community providers and discuss the services they provide.
