There have been several King Kong films but I want to have you explore putting an idea that is larger than life on the stage and whether or not it’s effective. That’s the purpose of what we’re trying to do here I mean we could say the same thing about the musical Titanic where they sink an ocean liner on the stage or the Broadway show or Miss Saigon landing a helicopter on the stage or Phantom of the Opera where they use lots of different technical effects to create the reality of the production. So what are we doing here we’re trying to see if these cinematic larger than life productions are affectively presented to an audience on the stage. Do they add to it do they take away from it are the stories.
