Perhaps no terrorist attack since 9/11 has had a bigger impact than the 2015 Paris attacks. ISIS operating out of Iraq and Syria were able to plan and carry out coordinated attacks against soft targets in the west. As we are in this Thanksgiving and Christmas season, awe are now living in a new normal were the threats from terrorism that we face seem endless and not just from groups like ISIS. For your last discussion post of the semester, how do you, as a counterterrorism expert, create a counterterrorism strategy for this new normal. What is that strategy? Use specific examples from the four cases we studied at the end of the semester to support your answer; the Battle of Algiers, 9/11, the Liquid bombing plot, and the Paris attacks.
