Step 1: Choose a psychological theory or construct that you would like to share.

Step 2: Think about the audience who needs this information (You will not actually present to this audience).

Step 3: Decide on the format for your project– here are a few ideas:

• A persuasive blog post (~500 words)
• A recorded visual presentation w/PowerPoint (~10 minutes in length)
• A podcast (~10 minutes in length)
• A children’s story (if your audience is little ones)
• A song (~3 minutes long)
• An art gallery display
• A Pinterest page
• A series of 10 memes
• A How-to brochure
• A press release (~500 words)
• Not seeing anything you like here? Feel free to propose a format!

Step 4: Decide if you want to collaborate or go-it-alone. You can partner with a classmate to collect all the necessary background information on your theory or construct and give feedback on each other’s projects. (You will both, however, submit unique final projects.)

Step 5: Read up on your psychological theory or construct! Go beyond the textbook – find scholarly and popular press articles and have rich discussions with your classmates and your instructor.

Step 6: Work your magic! Put together an innovative way to share this psychological information. Be sure your content is tied to empirical information you have learned in this course, but presented in language that is easy for your audience to understand. In addition, include a 1-2 page (double-spaced, 1” margins, Times New Roman font) written summary of the scholarly information you want your audience to learn. Also include in this paper a personal reflection on your experience with this project. Upload your product plus your 1-2 page summary/reflection to Canvas during finals week.
