Application Activities: To really understand consumer behavior, you will need to go out and do various research activities throughout the semester. This takes the place of a semester project. You will complete three of these throughout the semester from the assigned chapters.

1. Format: First describe the concept then report on what you did. An example will be posted to Canvas from one of these activities for you to see how these assignments should be written. Microsoft Word Document, minimum of three pages, double spaced, 12 point font. Papers should be written in an essay style format for each assignment. Submit each separate activity to the appropriate folder in Canvas by the due date. Include the 3Application Activity description and page and number at the beginning of the paper.

2. Proper Spelling and Grammar: Your paper needs to be well written in MLA format with a works cited page. Please have the writing lab in the BLC Student Resource Center help you with your assignments if you need help with writing your paper. Keep in mind that a first draft will usually not be your best work.

3. Content: You will need to structure the paper and its content. Before writing your paper, please construct an outline of your paper. Identify the concepts that you will be writing about. Read about the concepts in the book. Use the content from the book to identify a plan for how you will conduct your interviews or observations and what you expect to find. Write in detail about your interviews or observations. Use the content from the book in your analysis of the concepts. I will be looking to see if you clearly set up your paper by stating up front what you will be writing about and if you support the concepts that you are writing about.
