below. Using Aristotelian analysis, describe the way your play production exhibits the six
elements of theatre as well as your own opinion about the success or failure of those elements.
Do not use Shakespeare for this assignment only from the 19th and early 20th century theatre.
The six elements of theatres that must be covered in your critique are:
1) Plot: is a summary of a playàincidents
2) Character: Is anything that delineates a person or differentiates that person from
others.
3) Thought: Meaning in drama is usually implied rather than stated directly (emes,
morals, messages, arguments, overall meaning of the action
4) Diction: Diction = Language and Poetry
5) Music: all patterned sound
6) Spectacle: All visual elements of production such as lighting, customs, movement of
character.
